Jen and Matt’s Camp Friendship Wedding was a beautiful beginning to a busy Fall season! As the two celebrated with a lakeside/pond/beach wedding, they radiated love and happiness the entire day. From the moment I met them, their laughs and jokes made the day begin with ease.

When talking to these two back in March, one of the main things they wanted to convey during their wedding day was that it was more a celebration with their loved ones. They weren’t too focused on getting portraits of themselves as they were with getting photographs of the ones that have supported and loved them through this journey. That was truly a testament to how they view their family + friends, and what a wonderful group of people they were.

Out of all the wedding receptions I’ve photographed, this one was SO MUCH FUN and will most likely go down in the book of “best music played at a wedding reception ever” (shout out to Matt for that one :P). You could feel the community and love in the room. Not just from Matt and Jen, but from everyone around them. The sense of support and happiness from the couple radiated into every square inch, making for a joyful night for all who attended. When looking around during the duration of the night, there were more smiles and laughs than I could count. It seemed like everyone was genuinely having an amazing time, which is exactly what Jen and Matt wanted — who could ask for more?!

The entire Camp Friendship staff was extremely accommodating to every request (including but not limited to being able to ride in a golf cart to capture the formal photos #photogperks). To all the staff members that had a part in Jen and Matt’s day, thank you for making my job easier and providing laughs along the way.

Thank you so much for asking me to be the one that photographs one of the most important days of your lives. Your wedding was such a wonderful time to celebrate not only your love but the family and friends that have supported you throughout your relationship. Your beautiful, written vows to each other were a testament of your love and support; and the genuine glances between you two during the day was a sign that showed how much you truly love each other.
