A Museum Engagement Session in DC? Say no more.
What a special time during this National Gallery of Art Engagement Session! I am so excited to showcase these images from my friends’ DC engagement taken last weekend.
Andy and Alexa are having a June 2024 wedding and I’m so excited to be their wedding AND engagement photographer. Having these two in my life over the last few years have been such a blessing! It’s so exciting to know that they’re beginning their married lives together in just a little over a year. When I asked A&A about having a museum engagement session in DC, they immediately let me do whatever I pleased when it came to the direction and style of the session.
With an entrepreneurial spirit, these two have seamlessly flipped and renovated three homes in the course of less than 3 years, are parents to the sweetest pup (Penny), and are two of the most successful people I’ve ever met. I have ADORED getting to know them through our friendship (and obviously taking photos during past graduations, portraits, and now their museum engagement session). A&A went to college with my boyfriend (Justin)!Ssince we’ve been dating I have had the privilege on connecting with them more and more. Through weekends spent together and countless food / bevs, their hospitality and ability to make a beautiful home is incredible. You should check out their home flipping/renovation company Barefoot Material so you can see just what I’m talking about 😉
About their DC Engagement Session
This museum engagement session in DC was such a wonderful breath of fresh air from my ‘typical’ natural light sessions. With the beauty of the national gallery of art engagement also came it’s challenges. Crowds, coloring, white balance, reflections, you name it.
Thankfully, these two were great example subjects and let me test out a few creative ideas during their National Gallery of Art Engagement session. Through mixes of crowds and prompting, these images were the creative break I needed to spice up my repertoire before my Spring wedding season begins!
