Meeting Aarshika and Joey in Old Town Alexandria for their Waterfront Engagement Session made such a special start to my busy Spring season! Being asked to photograph a Northern Virginia engagement session is always an honor, but especially when it’s for mutual friends!

These cuties have been together since college and are tying the knot in 2024 in Purcellville! I am so excited to be the one that captures this exciting day (and also honored that I was chosen as a photographer

One of my favorite parts of their session was when they decided to pop a bottle of champagne. Although it didn’t turn out exactly like we thought it would, it was such a funny moment when champagne went spraying EVERYWHERE (including over Aarshika). Thankfully, we had expected a potential champs crisis and waited until we were almost done with our session to do those photos. It made for some GOOD laughs and really funny memories, though!

One of my favorite parts of Old Town Alexandria Engagement sessions are the sheer number of locations within a small radius. You get the waterfront, parks, a little city vibes, the whole thing!

The morning itself was absolutely stunning. We hit Old Town Waterfront at the perfect time – there weren’t too many folks out and about yet, and the sun hit them just right!
