Karen and Evan’s Sunrise Cherry Blossom Session in DC
Karen, Evan, and their cute golden doodle Sadie joined me on the CHILLIEST spring morning last week! Right before the cherry blossom peak (I’m talking at the most 2 days before the peak), we met at sunrise to grab some portraits of this cute little family. The tidal basin was (thankfully) not crowded, and we now know it’s probably because of the high winds and low temps!
Karen and Evan were such troopers during their entire session, and amongst the freezing cold temperatures that were enhanced by some strong winds, we got some beautiful photos of their family!
Sadie was especially happy to be in the strong winds (no really, she was!) – she LOVED walking around the tidal basin and looked like she was ~thriving~ as the wind really swept her fur every which way hahaha.
Karen and Evan actually hired me to photograph their wedding in 2021, and it truly was (and still is) one of my favorite weddings of my career! If you missed their wedding blog post, you can check it out here.
