Downtown Harrisonburg Engagement | Megan & Alex

August 2, 2021

It truly feels like I’ve known Megan and Alex for a while (and not like I met them just last evening). During their engagement session over the weekend, we walked around the JMU Quad for a bit, which has such a special place in Megan and Alex’s hearts! After meeting at JMU their freshman year and into a relationship a little later, Alex popped the question on the very spot we began our session (and I had no idea it was that *exact* location – call it fate). It was such an honor and a joy to be the one that photographed these two and I’m so grateful for their sweet-natured souls.

Along with the JMU portion of the day (and seeing a cute bunny, pictured below), we headed to Downtown Harrisonburg for some more photos and some more great conversation. They graciously went along with some of my weirder ideas and laughed along the way – I’m extremely grateful for the positivity they put toward each step of our time together.

Megan and Alex,

You both were such a wonderful couple to work with! Thank you so much for the laughs, great conversation, and the craft beer – you two know the way right to my heart. You two are truly the sweetest couple and it makes me SO excited to see you again to photograph your wedding next June! I CANNOT WAIT.

WHY we're the perfect match

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way.

Andrea is so professional and detail-oriented, while still being fun, friendly, and loving. She feels like she is your best friend as soon as you meet her! Throughout our wedding planning process, she sent a sweet little surprise gift box, a helpful photography planning guide, and she even made us a personalized ornament for our first Christmas! She goes above and beyond in everything she does.

"Her excitement about being our photographer was contagious."

From the first meeting, we knew Andrea was an experienced photographer who was also warm and bubbly, which is the perfect type of person to have around you on your wedding day. She was extremely helpful with answering any questions we had, and was very responsive. Andrea is incredibly organized and efficient. She captured the best moments and got all the shots we wanted without making it feel like the photography was taking over the day. Working with her was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend her!
