Old Town Alexandria Engagement | Sarah & Jonathan

June 2, 2019

Sarah and Jonathan’s sunrise engagement session in Old Town Alexandria was a truly awesome beginning to my Sunday! After having a wedding the evening before and running off of adrenaline for my early morning start, my 3:30am wake up call felt like it was NOTHING when we were capturing these photos.

This was my first time meeting these cuties and, oh my goodness, is it weird to say I’m obsessed with them as a couple?! Getting to know them while walking around Old Town felt like we were always friends, and I am just extremely excited for their September wedding in Charlottesville!

Their dreamy sunrise session featured gorgeous golden light, lots of walking, Starbucks restrooms (or lack thereof), and lots of giggles/smiles.

Sarah and Jonathan — you two are ADORABLE. I’m so excited to get to know you both a little more as a couple and to capture even cuter pictures of you on your wedding day in September! Enjoy your sneak peek because I am SO EXCITED to show you your final gallery!

WHY we're the perfect match

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way.

Andrea is so professional and detail-oriented, while still being fun, friendly, and loving. She feels like she is your best friend as soon as you meet her! Throughout our wedding planning process, she sent a sweet little surprise gift box, a helpful photography planning guide, and she even made us a personalized ornament for our first Christmas! She goes above and beyond in everything she does.

"Her excitement about being our photographer was contagious."

From the first meeting, we knew Andrea was an experienced photographer who was also warm and bubbly, which is the perfect type of person to have around you on your wedding day. She was extremely helpful with answering any questions we had, and was very responsive. Andrea is incredibly organized and efficient. She captured the best moments and got all the shots we wanted without making it feel like the photography was taking over the day. Working with her was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend her!
