Neha and Ben’s Northern Virginia wedding at the Barns at Wolf Trap is the best way to end my 2022 season! I love talking about this Winter wedding at Wolf Trap, because nothing about it reflected winter in the slightest. This 60-degree December day held the best East-meets-West traditions and I am so excited to share glimpses from their day.
Like a lot of my couples over the last few years, these two met on Bumble a few years ago! After their first date getting tacos, they knew it was a forever-thing and spent 5 years together enjoying local restaurants, hikes, and spending time with their cute pup.
Neha and Ben really want to focus on their guests. Their 17-tables of guests are being celebrated while we walk around to each table to take individual photos of the groups. This is SUCH a special moment to witness because I can clearly see the joy in each and every one of Neha and Ben’s guests.
The pair’s winter wedding at Wolf Trap is forever holding a special place in my heart. Thank you, Neha and Ben, for trusting me with such a wonderful honor of photographing your wedding!
The History Behind Wolf Trap
“Built from two restored 18th-century barns, The Barns at Wolf Trap is a popular spot for music lovers in the greater Washington, D.C. area. The intimate 382-seat theater offers audiences a chance to experience superb acoustics and impressive performances from top-notch artists across genres in an intimate setting.
The Barns at Wolf Trap is owned and operated by Wolf Trap Foundation, which is committed to creating an artistic lineup as diverse and discerning as the audiences that attend year-round.” The venue itself features two barns – one barn for theatre, where all of the indoor performances at Wolf Trap are held, and another barn for gathering. The Gathering barn, called the Scottish Barn, was built in 1791 and serves as a portion of the cocktail hour and reception space.”
The Vendors:
Ending their Winter wedding at Wolf Trap was the best team of Northern Virginia wedding vendors. I’m telling you guys – this is the BEST team I have ever gotten to work with. Alongside Zaakira, from Details Made Simple, was Natalie from Nana Floral, Spilled Milk Catering, and Lakshmi (their live painter!). Each detail has been wonderfully executed
