Bethany and Fred’s Johnstown, PA Wedding was the perfect event to make me realize how much Johnstown has stayed in my heart. It never fails to make me appreciate where my roots are and where they’ll always be (even as my love for Harrisonburg grows). Their ceremony and reception were held at the Main Event by Our Sons.

When Bethany and Fred approached me about photographing their wedding (waaayy back in January), they made it known to me that this was actually a vow renewal, because they’ve been married for almost 10 years!! I love that even after 10 years, Bethany and Fred made the commitment to take care of each other for better or for worse, in sickness and in health. It really shows you that the power of a Christian marriage can stand the test the time.

An amazing asset of Bethany’s bridal details were her shoes. She took great time and detail to hand-decorate her white Converse, so obviously I wanted to capture them as much as I could!! I also loved how Fred’s groomsmen wore Converse to tie in the Chuck Taylor commonality that both the bride and groom had 🙂 I loved capturing the details of Fred and Bethany’s special day (do you think you can tell by all the detail shots I included? :P)

Their 3 groomsmen and 8 bridesmaids were THE SWEETEST. Everyone stepped in to help and make not only I needed anything, but Bethany + Fred! It was such a sweet group of people and I loved being able to capture them while they stood beside the couple on such a memorable day.

Thank you so, so much for asking me to be a part of one of the most important days in your marriage. Not only did I adore spending the day with you and your loved ones, but being able to witness vows being renewed and families coming together will always stick with me.
