I think Morgan and Chuck couldn’t have made my 4AM alarm better. I spent the morning with these two walking around the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. and Old Town Alexandria capturing their engagement photos, and let me tell you, it was such a fun time. I didn’t even feel like I got less sleep than usual (it was probably the Starbucks though, let’s be honest).
Last night’s engagement session at JMU with Miranda and Ben was a ton of fun! I’ve never gotten to walk around the entire campus before, but I was marveled by how gigantic it is. It was so great to get to know these two a little more and soak in the sunny + warm evening that we had.
When picturing what their engagement session went like, think: cute dogs everywhere that are constantly running in the frame (not that I minded), screaming marching bands that are congratulating them on their engagement, me accidentally ripping multiple flowers off of bushes, and a giant squirrel that was kind of adorable.
I really wanted to capture the spot where Ben proposed to Miranda because it was RIGHT ON CAMPUS in front of the beautiful building named Wilson Hall. I love that this campus has such a special place in their hearts now — they get to build a life together because of it!!
Miranda and Ben,
Thank you so much for joining me last evening for your photos! It’s always so fun when I can meet a couple for their engagement session and have as enjoyable of a time as we had. I can’t wait for your wedding in June and to continue celebrating until then!! Please enjoy some sneak peeks of your session, I can’t wait for you to see the rest!
